Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo on 8th September 2023 issued a statement stating that the government has ordered all Non-Governmental Organisations and Public Benefit Organisations registered in Kenya to align with the Kenya Kwanza administration’s international donor aid management systems.
He further stated that the donor architecture must comply with the laid out international frameworks so as to be of mutual benefit; the donor and beneficiaries. This includes the global best practises.
“The Government has formally written notice to all NGOs and PBOs in the country to comply with this requirement and align their operations with Kenya’s development priorities as captured in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).”
He notes that the result of the new alignment will reaffirm a better partnership in the sector which in turn will develop the lives of Kenyans.
