The Democracy and Human Rights program is supported by the Embassy of Sweden through Diakonia Kenya Country Office. The second phase started in July 2018 and is expected to end in December 2022. This project is implemented by CFF in partnership with PEN. The overall program result is increased respect for human rights, and gender equality and strengthened democratic governance at the national and local levels. The program has two outcomes namely:
- Strengthened accountability and independence of governance structures and institutions at the local and national level
- Inclusive, cohesive, and accountable society through increased citizen engagement in the governance process.

We, Jokinda Citizen Voice and Action (CVA), a CBO based in Nyakach Sub-county of Kisumu County and started in 2014 would wish to partner with you- CFF in Kenya. From its inception, the CVA has partnered with World Vision, an NGO that is currently winding up their services in that area, specifically Katito Office in Nyakach.
Our major activities include Civic Education, Social Accountability, Project Monitoring and Peace Building. We aim at making the residents to offer good service delivery, accountability and social justice through capacity building, partnering advocacy and creating public awareness to the communities around us.
