The project is set in the context of continued state violation of human rights, restrictive legislation/policies, and administrative actions amidst efforts to curtail the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic and the delivery of credible elections. The project is funded by KIOS Foundation and is expected to end on 31 December, 2022. The proposed project aims to ensure that state agencies are accountable and responsive to civil liberties and human rights. In addition, the project sets two objectives:
- To collectively advocate for the elimination of restrictive laws, policies, and administrative actions that may hinder a progressive environment for citizen action.
- To support in strengthening the capacity of Civic Freedoms Forum to deliver on its mission.
