Ten GSU officers are facing murder charges following the killings of four citizens in Masimba, Kajiado County. The officers, including their commander, are set to be arraigned in court for the fatal shooting of demonstrators at Masimba area on 2 June 2022. The demonstrations were due to increased attacks by wild animals in the area including the death of a teacher by an elephant.The accused persons argued that their arrest is unreasonable since killings occurred while they were dispensing their duties.
